Brixham 2013

The Berry Head Hotel in Brixham hosted our inaugural workshop in July 2013. This event brought together stakeholders from across the UK, including fishers, scientists, managers, policy-makers and campaigning groups. It was the largest initiative of its kind at that time and led directly to the establishment of Fishing into the Future as a charity.

It was supported by a wide range of speakers, with a guest-appearance from HRH The Prince of Wales, and was made possible by sponsorship from Sainsburys, Seafish, the International Sustainability Unit and the Garfield-Weston Foundation. The event was a water-shed for us and generated a great deal of excitement and motivation within the fishing industry as a whole. You can view the outcomes and outputs from this workshop below.
